The End Of An Era - Last Flight of Singapore Airlines B747

The end of an era. Although not directly related to the B737 or to the simulator, Singapore Airlines decision to wrap up their 747 fleet with a final flight between Hong Kong and Singapore is certainly noteworthy. I have flown with Singapore Airlines in their B747 on several occasions; their service and attention to detail is impeccable. I've attached an e-mail sent to me from Singapore Airlines. (I'm enrolled in their frequent miles club). The B747 will be replaced by the A380; the largest commercial jetliner in the world.
Singapore Airlines has a very interesting frequent flyer site (SIA Journeys) which has a time-line showing the progression of the airline from it beginnings to present day (SA Time-line). Watch the short video at the bottom of this post which interviews a B747 pilot
